The Precision Machined Products Association: The PMPA is an international trade association representing the interests of the precision machined products industry. While PMPA consists mainly of North American-based manufacturers, its members also operate facilities in various industrial markets around the globe.

Founded in 1933 (formerly the National Screw Machine Products Association), the association is known today as the premier provider of programs and services for the industry. Through dissemination of the latest technological advancements, government regulations, benchmarking, business intelligence and management information, PMPA members stay ahead of the curve, ready to compete on a global scale.

PMPA Products & Services

PMPA provides 24/7/365 networking through its members-only e-mail listserves. This networking continues at the Association's three annual conferences and numerous district/chapter meetings. In addition, PMPA provides benchmarking information, assistance with technical, quality, EPA/OSHA and human resources issues and much more. Members of the Association also receive significant discounts off FedEx and Yellow Freight of between 10 percent and 62 percent and discounts off machine operator training programs from Tooling U.

Contract manufacturers, captive shops, suppliers and non-profit trade schools are eligible for membership in the PMPA. The successful Precision Machining Technology Show – North America's Only Production Machining Focused Show – returns to the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, April 24-26, 2007. Now in it's fourth edition, PMTS 2007 is projected to be bigger and better than ever.

Presented by the Precision Machined Products Association and co-presented by Production Machining and Modern Machine Shop magazines, the biennial PMTS is an international gathering of manufacturers, suppliers and end users of products and services dedicated entirely to the production of precision machined products and turned parts.
